Answers To Frequently Asked Questions
Fill out our Puppy Application. After filling out our puppy application I will call you so we can have a conversation. Then after being accepted, I will email our Waitlist/Deposit Contract to you. You will sign/date the contract and pay your deposit via Zelle to be placed in order on my list for next puppies.
The deposit is the way to reserve a puppy until they are ready to go home with you. It is applied to the purchase price of the puppy. Should you submit a puppy application before I have available puppies, you will be placed on a waitlist in order of the date you paid your deposit. All waitlist applicants have first priority for newly available puppies in order of paid
deposit dates. The balance of the purchase price is paid when you pick up the puppy. The deposit is $500 and is non-refundable.
Your puppy will be eating Purina Pro Plan puppy food for small breeds.

I wish the answer could be yes, however, that is not a realistic expectation of a puppy as young as 9 or 10 weeks old. Potty training should start immediately so you start off with your puppy knowing that you expect they not go just anywhere. I can tell you that they are fairly good at pottying on a potty pad. Placing a potty pad in the same location within close proximity helps them to know where to go when they have the urge and you are not right there to take them outside.
- Appropriate deworming at 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 and 10 weeks of age.

Neither are better than the other in my opinion. Every puppy/dog has their own personality and temperament, but in general the Miniature Dachshund is a highly loyal and affectionate companion dog that is eager to please and very food oriented.
Neither are better than the other in my opinion. Both coat types shed equally, although long hairs can get mats if they are not properly groomed on a regular basis.
Typically, Yorkshire Terriers tails are docked to meet the AKC “breed standard” which calls for a docked tail.
I cannot predict the future for your puppy. IVDD is possible for all Miniature Dachshunds because of their long backs and short legs. Science has not isolated the specific gene that is the cause for this disorder. There are things you can do to help reduce the risk of your puppy/dog developing back issues like preventing and discouraging jumping onto and off of furniture, climbing up or down stairs, jumping to greet you, standing on their back legs with their front legs off the ground (begging), picking your puppy up by the front of their body and not supporting their hindquarters when lifting or carrying.
